Labour Ward Wexham Park Hospital

Labour Ward is suited to women and babies who require additional care, monitoring and specialist input in labour. Women with clinical conditions, complex pregnancies or those who wish to have an epidural in labour will be advised to have their baby on the Labour Ward. This is also the case for women who may have had complications in previous labours, are having twins or have a baby who is in the breech position (feet or bottom first). This is because care is provided by midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists, neonatal doctors, and other specialists teams who work collaboratively to provide a safe and personalised service.
